Request to host a J-1 Exchange Visitor

This process should be completed by a department representative and requires login credentials to this site. If you need administrative login credits, please contact International Student Services.

Step 1: Complete Request for J-1 Sort-Term Scholar or Language Teaching Assistant

 
In order to bring a J-1 to Bucknell University, International Student Services needs the following information in order to create a DS-2019. Please be prepared to provide the following information:
  • Department Information (contact and billing information)
  • Scholar Information (biographical and professional information)
  • Program Information (intended plan at Bucknell) - If the J-1 will be a student intern, you will be required to upload a completed DS-7002
  • Funding Information (how the Exchange Visitor will be supported while in the U.S.)
  • Health Insurance Information (coverage while in the U.S.)

Step 2: Complete English Language Ability Certification (for J1 students/Teaching Assistants)
 
For faculty/departmental use when sponsoring a Teaching Assistant or an Exchange student on a J1 visa.
